Warren Buffet of Omaha, Nebraska
Warren Edward Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 30, 1930. He is known as one of the most successful investors of all time after beginning his investing career at the young age of eleven years. His interest in investment started even younger than that with reading a book on investing at just seven years old. That interest in finances continued as Buffett went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska at the age of 19 with a bachelor’s degree of science in business administration. He graduated with a master’s of science in economics from Columbia University. The final area of his educational journey was studying at the New York Institute of Finance.
With the same drive he has possessed in his youth, Buffett entered the business world with his philosophies on finance that resembled that of Benjamin Graham. He begin his career working as investment salesman for three years. Some of the other positions held by Buffet include a securities analyst and general partner at Buffett Partnership, Ltd eventually leading to him becoming the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
Buffett’s investment genius was clear when he begin building his partnerships and making his first million as a result of partnerships in 1962 at the age of 32. Today, Buffett’s investing know how has made him a multi-billionaire. As a leader in business and finances, he express his philosophies and thoughts on finances in the United States stating that it is important that prosperity is spread evenly.
